With a chance to defeat the defending World Champions on their home court, the Golden State Warriors were unable to close out the game.

Leading by 14 points in the third quarter, the Warriors were unable to hold to the big lead and lost to the Boston Celtics 119-111 at TD BANKNORTH Garden.

Rajon Rondo scored a season-high 22 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished off seven assists in the eight-point victory.

The Big Three of Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett came up huge, as the Celtics won their six straight.

Both Garnett and Pierce scored 21 points, while Allen scored 25.

Corey Maggette torched the Celtics for a season-high 32 points, while Stephen Jackson scored 30 for the Warriors, who lost their fourth straight game.
