Despite telling the Golden State Warriors he wanted to return the team, Baron Davis did a complete 360 degree turn.

Davis decided to opt out of his contract, leaving behind a $17.8 million contract in what was the final year of a six-year contract.

Last season, Davis played in all 82 games, as he averaged 21.8 points, 7.6 assists and 4.7 rebounds, as the Warriors went 48-34; however they missed the playoffs by two games.

During the 2006-2007 season, Davis helped lead the Warriors back to the playoffs after a 12-year drought, where they beat the Dallas Mavericks in six games before losing to the Utah Jazz in six games.
