With the chance of this being the last game ever as the Seattle SuperSonics, rookie Kevin Durant accomplished a first in his career.

Durant scored a career high 42 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for the first double-double of his career, as the SuperSonics put an end to a miserable season with a 126-121 victory over the Golden State Warriors before a sellout crowd of 19,596 at Oracle Arena.

Baron Davis scored 21 point in 39 minutes, this coming one game after not playing in the second half in what proved to be an elimination game for the Warriors, as they lost to the Phoenix Suns 122-116 at USAIRWAYS Center.

Monta Ellis led the Warriors with 24 points, while Andris Biedrins picked up a double-double of his own, as he scored 20 points and grabbed 17 rebounds.

In what could be a great sign for the future, rookie Marco Belinelli scored a career high 17 points.
