Photo Yao magnificent in Rockets win

After learning that Chris Webber was signed, sealed and delivered to the Golden State Warriors, the Warriors went out and took one on the chin.

Yao Ming scored 36 points, including eight in the final two and half minutes of the fourth quarter, in helping the Houston Rockets defeat the Warriors 111-107 at the Toyota Center.

Yao also pulled down 19 rebounds, as the Rockets were able to hold off the Warriors near miraculous comeback that saw the Warriors once trail by 21 points.

Despite trailing by 21 points, the Warriors were able their only lead of the game when Baron Davis hit a three-pointer with 2:11 remaining; however the Rockets were just too tough and ended the Warriors three-game winning streak.

Rafer Alston added 17 points and dished off a season high 12 assists, as the Rockets won for the fifth time in six games.

Stephen Jackson scored 25 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished off seven assists.

Things looked bleak for the Warriors from the opening tip, as the Rockets went on 23-6 run to start the game and ended the first quarter with a commanding 33-18 lead, behind 12 points from Yao
