After failing to clinch the playoffs last week versus the Cincinnati Bengals the Cleveland Browns hope to make it still, depending on Sunday night’s outcome between the Titans and the Colts Sunday night.
Meanwhile, the second to last in yards per game allowed in the NFL third game in a row but eight in offense team (Cleveland) will face still the last in passing and offense team (San Francisco 49ers) Sunday morning.
Browns’ quarterback Derek Anderson threw 4 interceptions last week, tying a career high but is now also tied for third most TD passes in franchise history.
This time San Francisco’s opponent holds the series lead, at 10-6 along with the recent lead with victories the previous 2 meetings.
Speaking of quarterbacks, fresh backup quarterback for the Niners, Chris Weinke, will move in place to become the fourth starting quarterback for San Francisco this season. It will not be Weinke’s first NFL start.
49ers’ QB Shaun Hill, who did not incur a loss while filling in as a starter, is out because of back spasms from three back fractures. The fractures were incurred during the hit that took Hill out of the game for one play last game.
SF aims to beat a team with a winning record for the second straight game and time this season, while going for their third straight victory of the season when they face Cleveland.
