In another matchup of same record teams, the 49ers will be reuniting with former tight end Eric Johnson.

San Francisco is now on a 4-game losing streak; 1st year offensive coordinator Jim Hostler and the 49ers are in last place in total points, 1st downs, passing yards, and total offense per game.

Though the ankle is still tender, Gore says he will also play Sunday. The 49ers are 8-1 when RB Frank Gore has 20+ carries.

Both receiver Darrell Jackson (quad strain) and left tackle Jonas Jennings (sprained ankle) are doubtful. Jackson’s teams are 3-0 vs. New Orleans.

When defensive end Bryant Young has 1+ sack, SF is 38-19.

WR Arnaz Battle is riding a 26-game reception streak and rookie linebacker Patrick Willis leads the team with 11 tackles.

In an interview by neworleanssaints.com, head coach Mike Nolan talked about continuing to perform well, consistency, penalties and turnovers.

New Orleans is coming off a 2-game win streak.

Quarterback Drew Brees is 2-0 versus the 49ers, rookie running back Pierre Thomas is on a 2-game TD streak, wide receiver Marques Colston is 4 catches away from 100 and defensive end Charles Grant is on a 2-game sack streak versus SF. Brees’ teams are 17-2 when he has a rating of 110+.
