The last game the Oakland Raiders were involved in, they played like a bad team and Raider head coach Lane Kiffin says why can't the Raiders play like a good team? The Raiders have the talent in terms of wide receivers, tight ends. The Raiders have a lot of offensive weapons that they use in the running game and the team should be using all of those opportunities.
If the team performs like they Raiders profess they can, they're able to and coming up with an offensive game plan that is a signature Raider style. The Raiders should be able to put that out on the field at all different angles and so far Kiffin hasn't been able to do that.
So if Kiffin continues to play like he's not taking any chances he's going to come out with loses but if Kiffin and coach Bob Ryan the defensive coordinator and all the coordinators get together and decide to attack and keep that Raider mentality then the Raiders can possibly win through out the season against those AFC teams.
Daunte Culpepper must win: Culpepper in the game coming up against the Chiefs on Sunday is a must win, coming off the loss to the Chargers. Culpepper made some poor decisions against the Chargers, and he held onto the ball too long, and has to the star that he was when he played against his former team in Miami and he's got to step up and he's got to be able to connect with his receivers and he has all of those star qualities about him.
So for Culpepper you got to embrace what you already are and be out there and try to win. It’s now a must win for Culpepper and it's a must win game for the Raiders as well.
For Kiffin its a must win because no one really knows whose really settled in at quarterback is it Culpepper or is it McCown?
The Raiders don't have an offensive identity so its time to establish that and to let the league know what your going to be putting out every Sunday.
How the Chiefs and Raiders match Sunday: It's always going to be a tense and impassioned game because it's a division rival and personally that's just one team in the NFL and it's about the intensity and the rivalry when it comes to the Raiders and the Chiefs going way back.
It’s always going to be a struggle, its always going to be close the Raiders have to put up their A game against these division rivals and you can't go in soft that has been the problem they have to go in they have to attack especially against the Broncos, Chiefs and the Chargers.
So here comes Tony Gonzalez, Michael Huff and the Raiders safety have to step up against Gonzalez and can not make any mistakes. Huff has to play a solid game also the line backers and defensive line have got to put the pressure and Rob Ryan has got to take risks and attack the quarterback he didn't do that effectively in the last game with all the loses and there was not enough blitzing.
So both elements have to be there if the Raiders are going to be able to pull off a win against this intense division rival the Chiefs. The Raiders safeties have to step up, the D line has to attack. The offensive line for Oakland should have a good game for Robert Gallery and Barry Simms and Jeremy Newberry and all of those guys up front should have the game if they're prepared and focused on attacking this division rival.
