SAN FRANCISCO-Playing in his first game at AT&T Park as a member of the San Francisco Giants, Pat Burrell made a great impression on his hometown fans..

Jack Cust drove in the A’s second run of the game, as he singled in Cliff Pennington , who tripled to lead off the inning.
Following the Cust infield single, where he beat Buster Posey’s throw to first base, Mark Ellis then grounded into a rally-killing around the horn double play.
Jeremy Affeldt came to replace Lincecum in the top of the ninth inning ,giving up two hits and striking out one, before giving way to Brian Wilson.
Wilson picked up the save as he came on to retire Pennington on a called third strike to end the game and it was the 16th save in 18 opportunities for Wilson this season.

Todd Wellemeyer was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a right quad strain, and to make room for the now disabled Wellemeyer, the Giants have recalled Joe Martinez from Fresno.
