With Stephen Curry sitting on the bench in a suit instead of playing against the New Orleans Hornets, the Golden State Warriors were forced to go another way.
Monta Ellis scored 28 points and dished off a career-high tying 13 assists, as the Warriors came back from a 21-point deficit midway thru the third quarter to defeat the Hornets 131-121 at Oracle Arena.
Curry was forced to miss his first game as a professional, due to a sprained left ankle and is listed as day-to-day.
Anthony Tolliver scored a career high 30 points for the Warriors, who have won two out of their last three.
David West scored 36 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, but the Hornets lost for the eighth time in their last nine games.
