No Kobe, no problem. The Lakers put down the injury-plagued Warriors 104-94, in a game that saw all five of the Los Angeles starters finish scoring in double-digits.
With big shoes to fill, the Lakers’ Shannon Brown stepped up with his first career double-double. Brown scored a game (and career) high 27 points and added 10 rebounds filling in for number 24. Andrew Bynum returned to the Lakers’ line-up, following a two game absence, pitching in 21 points and seven rebounds.
Corey Maggette returned to the Warriors’ line-up contributing 17 points, but Golden State’s superstar, Monte Ellis missed his second consecutive game with a sprained left knee. Andrew Morrow led the team in scoring with 23 and C.J. Watson came off the bench with 20 points in the losing effort.
There is no rest for the weary, as the Warriors continue their California road trip, heading up I-5 to the Capital City to take on the upstart Kings tomorrow night at Acro Arena.
