Photo Warriors stung by Hornets

OAKLAND-In their final road game of a four-game road trip, the New Orleans Hornets wanted to end the trip on a good note.

Chris Paul scored 38 points, going 14-for-19 from the floor, as the Hornets defeated the Golden State Warriors 123-110 before 16,308 at Oracle Arena.

All five of the Hornets topped the double figure plateau, as Marcus Thornton scored 18 points, David West scored 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, Emeka Okafor added 12 points and 12 rebounds and Peja Stojakovic chipped in with 14 points.

The Warriors jumped out to a 11-0 lead in the first 2:35 of the game, but were unable to hold onto to the lead and fell behind by as much as 27 points in the second half.

Instead of giving up, the Warriors fought their way back into game, as they cut the Hornets down to 10; however they not able to come all the way back.

Monta Ellis made his return to the court after missing the last two games with a sprained right ankle, and scored 19 points.

C.J. Watson led the Warriors with 23 points, including 17 in the first half.
