After just three weeks of searching, it looks like the Oakland Raiders have gotten their man to replace Art Shell.

The Raiders have hired 31-year old Lane Kiffin, who is the son of Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin.

Kiffin will be introduced at a press conference set for Tuesday Afternoon at the Raiders headquarters in Alameda.

Before coming to the Raiders, Kiffin spent the last two seasons as the offensive coordinator at the University of Southern California. In his two seasons as the offensive coordinator, the Trojans played in the BCS Championship Game after the 2005 season, in which they lost to the University of Texas Longhorns 41-38 and after this past season, the Trojans defeated the University of Michigan Wolverines in the Rose Bowl by the final score of 32-18.

Kiffin became the top candidate just three days after USC assistant head coach Steve Sarkisian turned down the job to stay with the Trojans and Pete Carroll, as the Trojans attempt to win their sixth consecutive PAC-10 Championship in 2007.

With the hiring of Kiffin as head coach, the only job that remains open is the head coaching job with the Dallas Cowboys after Bill Parcells retired on Monday.

Kiffin, who is just 31 years old, is the youngest coach in the NFL.
