Toronto – The San Jose Stealth traveled to Toronto to play the Toronto Rock today for their final regular game of the season. Win or Lose they already locked their playoff berth last week. Unfortunately, the three game winning streak did come to a halt today, as they lost 11-15.

San Jose started off with a 4-3 lead at the end of the first quarter, looking to play strong as they entered the second quarter, a quarter that has been their struggle this season. Going into the second quarter, Doyle and Zywicki were able to put up 2 more goals, extending it to 6-3.

Toronto would shut the San Jose offense down though and go on a 6 goal scoring streak, controlling the game 9-6 entering the half. As the third quarter progressed, San Jose would not be able to shift the momentum, Toronto would keep moving forward, carrying that into the fourth quarter.

For San Jose’s Colin Doyle, he would lock his position down as the #1 points leader for the season at 111. He fell just short of the 115 record set in 2001 by Buffalo Bandits John Tavares.

San Jose travels to the Rose Garden to face Portland LumberJax on Friday May 1st at 7:30pm.
