San Jose went to Portland today to play game two of their series this weekend. They lost yesterday 12-14 against the Lumberjax, so they were extra motivated to take it back to them today. Today they beat the Lumberjax 13-8 with great scoring performances from Tom Johnson and Colin Doyle.
The first quarter saw San Jose’s Tom Johnson, Colin Doyle and Cam Sedgewick putting goals up on the net, ending the first quarter with the Stealth leading 3-2.
Doyle, Zywicki, Martin and Johnson came through for goals in the second quarter, as San Jose literally took over the second quarter on a 5-1 scoring run.
San Jose put the Lumberjax to rest as the third quarter had ended. They held a strong 13-6 lead, with goals from Zywicki, Rabil, Doyle and Sedgwick.
San Jose gave up 2 goals in the fourth quarter, but it didn’t matter, they won 13-8 when all was said and done. San Jose’s goalkeeper tonight was mostly Tyler Richards, and he put up 43 saves.
