Colorado beats Stealth, 14-11

San Jose returned home today to start the second half of their 2009 season facing the Colorado Mammoth. The last time they faced the Mammoth at home, they defeated them. Not so today, as Colorado took out the Stealth with a score of 14-11. San Jose’s Colin Doyle would put up 3 goals today, Jeff Zywicki 2 goals, Rhys Duch 2 goals, but that would not be enough. Colorado came out strong in the first quarter, putting up 2 goals to start. San Jose replied with 2 goals, but that opened up a 3 goal run for Colorado, ending the quarter 5-2 for the Mammoth. Colorado would never look back from there, even though they held off 4th quarter pressure from San Jose trying to come back. San Jose falls to 3-7 for the season. Watch for the next home game in one week, on March 21st at the HP Pavilion. |
