Stealth Fall to Portland in High Scoring Game

Portland, OR – San Jose lost to the Portland LumberJax in a high scoring match 16-13. Portland went on a scoring run that would put in 6 unanswered goals in the second period that put them ahead for the rest of the match.
San Jose lead goal scorer for the season, Colin Doyle, started the game off fast with a quick goal in the first minute. Portland answered back immediately though, showing this was going to be a fast paced challenging game for the Stealth. The first quarter ended with a 3-3 score.
Portland dominated the second quarter, putting in goal after goal on San Jose. San Jose did not come back with any goals until the end of the quarter, and found itself down 8-4 at half.
San Jose’s Jeff Zwicki put up 3 goals for the night, and Colin Doyle and Grank Resetarits each put up 2 goals.
Portland would hold on and take out San Jose 16-13. San Jose (2-4) will play its next game at home in February 21st. Portland (4-3) plays again February 28th.
