Calgary, Canada - The San Jose Stealth traveled to Calgary for a re-match with the Calgary Roughnecks today. The Roughnecks defeated the Stealth in a high scoring match, 16 to 13.
San Jose did not show the hard hitting first quarter start that they did last week. Calgary came out in the first quarter with a scoring run 7-2. San Jose's goalkeeper Aaron Bold was pulled after the first quarter as he missed 7 out of 12 shots.
San Jose started to make a comeback in the second quarter around the 8th minute. They were able to put up 6 goals against the Roughneck keeper to Calgary's 2 goals. The third quarter showed two teams who wanted to win, and the game was really still open for San Jose to catch up.
The fourth quarter saw Calgary leading only 11-10. Calgary put more goals on the net, and even though San Jose pulled to 15-13 in the last five minutes, they could not bridge the gap.
San Jose's Rhys Duch and Tom Johnson both put up 3 goals tonight.
San Jose (1-3) will return home to host Edmonton on Saturday the 31st.
