Following their 28-0 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday afternoon, the last thing the Oakland Raiders wanted was a week off.
Every year since 1990, the NFL implemented a week off for all teams during the season and this week is the Raiders turn at the bye week.
Off to their best start since they won the AFC Championship in 2002, the Raiders are 5-3 under first-year head coach Hue Jackson.
Following the bye week, the Raiders will entertain their second consecutive AFC Western Division rival in a row, as the Denver Broncos make their lone appearance in the Bay Area this season.
Just four days after the Broncos come to the Coliseum, the Raiders will hop on their shortest flight of the season and head to San Diego and face the Chargers in a special Thursday night showdown from the Chargers longtime home.
After the Chargers game, the Raiders will return to their Alameda facility and prepare for their first trip outside the State of California since playing the Houston Texans on October 9 and will head to the Twin Cities of Minneapolis to face the Vikings.
