They may have been neighbors for 13 years, but when the two teams meet on Sunday at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, it will be like old times.
From 1982-1994, when the Oakland Raiders were known as the Los Angeles Raiders and played at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum
During that same period of time, the now St. Louis Rams also played in Southern California, but down Interstate 5 in Anaheim and were known as the Los Angeles Rams.
Prior to moving to Anaheim Stadium in 1980, the Rams played their home games at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the same place that the Raiders would begin playing just two seasons later.
Following the Raiders move back to Oakland, and Rams move to St. Louis, the two teams would meet every few years, as they are in different conferences.
In their last meeting in 2006, the Rams defeated the Raiders 20-0, as the Rams won their second straight over their former neighbors.
