Earthquakes Sign Two Players This Week

SAN JOSE, CALIF. –- The San Jose Earthquakes announced that they have signed two players to developmental contracts: Michael Ghebru and Davide Somma. Ghebru, 20, is a native to Germany, and grew up playing in their youth system. He has played for Offenbacher Fotball Clib Kickers 1901, MSV Duisburg, and Eintracht Frankfurt. He fills an international spot on the roster. Somma, 23, is currently an Italian citizen who was born in South Africa. He recently played for Olbia Calcio, but has also played for Perugia in 2004, and FC Pro Vasto in 2005.
