Late game effort doesn't save Quakes this week

Foxborough, Mass – San Jose fell to the New England Revolution away from home today to a score of 1-2. San Jose fell short of continuing their winning game last week, as they failed to start a win streak.

What was different for San Jose? Bobby Convey was out with a hamstring injury, Jason Hernandez was suspended, and it was one heck of a rainy day. The rain made it hard for both sides to find their rhythm, maybe we can blame it on the rain.

San Jose was outshot 14-10 by New England in this low offense game.

It was a good night for recent acquisition Ramon Sanchez, as he scored his first goal with the Quakes since coming on board. It rang of last week, as he scored a header goal in second half stoppage time.

This doesn’t help San Jose (5-12-5) move up from the bottom of the West, solidifying their last place spot.
