Kansas City, KA – The San Jose Earthquakes played an away game today against the Kansas city Wizards, and lost 2-0 in a match that Kansas controlled at almost every turn.

Kansas put up two goals today, one in the 28th minute, and another in the 78th minute.

The Quakes had failed to even put up a shot on goal by the end of the first half. They had only also won two corner kicks, much to their dismay.

Their first shot on goal was in the 81st minute by Arturo Alvarez, unfortunately it did not score.

San Jose again exhibited the inconsistent offense that has been their Achilles heel. Coach Frank Yallop said “We need to be more consistent game to game. We were not sharp enough today and I am not going to blame the conditions. They were able to create chances despite the wind.”

San Jose plays another home game next week in Buck Shaw Stadium against the Chicago Fire.
