Quakes battle the Chivas USA, Win 1-0 in preseason match

Carson, CA – The San Jose Earthquakes high flying pre-season continued today as they faced the Chivas USA at the Home Depot Center. One goal was all they got, but that was all it took to win. The Quakes scored in the seventh minute as Arturo Alvarez crossed it to the middle to Cam Weaver. Weaver knocked it in from six yards out. Chivas played hard, but were unable to capitalize on any scoring opportunities, largely in part to Cannon’s strong play in the Quakes net. |
