FRESNO, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes have continued their pre-season winning streak with a strong 6-0 win over the Fresno Fuego today.

Ryan Johnson scored for the third pre-season game in a row, and Arturo Alvarez picked up a couple goals, along with Darren Huckerby, Cam Weaver, and Pablo Campos each tallying one.

The Quakes Ryan Johnson opened up the scoring as he took a long pass from Quakes backup goalkeeper Andrew Weber. He got free in the box and put the goal in the net, beating the Fuego keeper.

The Fuego tried to rally back a few minutes later, but Weber came up with a big stop, keeping the Fuego from scoring.

The Quakes offense would come together again with Cam Weaver setting up Darren Huckerby for a blasting shot at the 26th minute.

Arturo Alvarez would score a pair of goals in the 39th minute and later just minutes into the second half.

Look for the Quakes to continue the pre-season show on February 27th at their home Buck Shaw stadium in Santa Clara, CA.
