BALTIMORE--Thank goodness, the Baltimore Ravens aren't on the road for this Monday Night's game as the Ravens take a 0-7 road record into this ball game but are a little better at home at 4-2.
The Green Bay Packers that is the worst defense in the league as well as one of the worst records on the road at 1-6 are in for Monday Night's game.
The Ravens who used to own one of the best defenses is becoming one of the worst.
It’s interesting to see these teams that are suppose to be these Monday Night extraordinariness, that feature star players like Green Bay quarterback Brett Favre. Everybody likes to see Favre but this season has been tough for him.
He's been struggling and the team has been struggling and had quite a lot of injuries and the offense is not scoring touchdowns as Favre is so used to doing so there is not going to be too much excitement in this game no many who are going to be watching are going to be stoked.
Compared to a couple of weeks ago when you saw Payton Manning and the Colts against the Steelers, which was a very different Monday Night game. That was actually a good game this year, now we have this stink fest of a game with the Ravens and Packers and it doesn't help that Javon Walker is out for the season and gets lost for in training camp. Also, you have Amhad Green who is out for the season too and basically, you have nobody on that defense that we recognize outside of Grady Jackson.
Jackson and Favre connected for a touchdown that they embraced on small miracles in Green Bay. What's interesting about Jamon Walker is the fact that's he's fired agent Drew Rosenhaus who represents Terrell Owens.
The other question is Rosenhaus leaning towards representing Owens and not paying attention to his other clients because agents have known to do that and maybe Walker felt that way in letting Rosenhaus go.
Everybody knows that Walker need to get more money playing for the Packers and whether he stays in Green Bay or not or goes somewhere else, San Francisco 49ers are you reading this blog? Walker is going to get that pay raise that he's needed for two or three years now.
The days of dealing with NFL teams, the way Rosenhaus has done over the last few years basically players just hold out for more money is going to be interesting to find how this is going to play out for Walker and the NFL players that are involved with an agent like Rosenhaus.
Also another point on Favre where does he go from here? The Packers are completely disintegrated and the Packers are trying to groom Aaron Rogers now and they drop to him in the first round knowing that Farvre's years are pretty much numbered. Favre might hang it up and call it quits this year because the Packers are a team that is tore up from the floor up and they need an extreme make over.
Rogers who is a good quarterback at Cal and a good senior quarterback that needed another year before he was really ready to come out in the big world in the NFL. Rogers came out a year early but he's had this year to sit back under the tutelage of Favre.
Hopefully Rogers taking all that he can, understanding how to play in the NFL, and really adjusting to the speed and the strength of the defense. Rogers has to be able to read defenses hopefully he's able to hone his skills in and just push forward but he will not be the star or the savior for the Pack by any means.
The Packers need Walker it would help and have Green back and actually have somebody on defense worth noting.
Preferably a secondary that could stop somebody. The Packers have lost Al Wilson and Al Harris and corner back Mike McKenzie who is with the Saints now, which combined for the all-hair team.
That was a fan favorite corner back team in the NFL you have to go with the dreadlocks, very cool, McKenzie isn't doing very well these days with the Saints.
The Ravens camp: The Ravens lost Ray Lewis for the season contributing to the big hurt of the club. When you think of the Ravens, you think of that dominating defense the best defense of all time besides the 85 Bears.
Peter Bullware when you think of those guys and now when you look at them their giving up 35-40 points to the Detroit Lions who can’t get out of their own way. So that says something about the Baltimore defense and the Ravens offense hasn't been anything to brag about and now Jamal Lewis cant figure out how to run the ball anymore.
Coming out of prison was something that was difficult for Jamal in adjusting.
J-Dogg's prediction: This is one that the Packers should be able to pull out this is going to be an interesting struggle offensively and defensively for both of these teams and watching these teams unravel before our eyes.
This maybe the Green Bay Packers game to pull off and win one for the gipper. Gotto for the Packers has done a good job at running back for Green Bay and the Packers are a team that needs running. So if the Packers stick with the running game the Packers should win like 21-13.
