The Boston College Eagles (8-4) head west to play the University of Southern California Trojans (8-4) in the Emerald Bowl. This is only the third meeting ever of the two football programs. BC inconsistent play and late season swoon which took them out of contention to get to the ACC Title game. This is Coach Frank Spaziani first year as head coach and he has guided BC to their 11th straight bowl game.

Key Players to Watch: 25 year old freshman Dave Shinski. Shinski has a 52.9 passing completion with 1831 passing yards, 14 touchdowns and 13 interceptions Shinski is going to have to manage the game and the ball better if he expects to be affective against a potent Trojan defense. Sophomore running back Montell Harris had had 1355 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns this season. You can bet the Pete Carroll is going to figure out a way to neutralize any potential breakout moment for Harris.

Just a note: BC will be playing without 2008 ACC Defensive Player of the Year Mark Herlitz. Herlitz has been battling bone cancer for the past year, but will be on the sidelines cheering his team on.
