Question #1. Michelle, Cal looks likely to get to the Emerald Bowl the close out the regular season after having their third bye last Saturday against Washington. The Bears as a footnote also have the worst graduation rate in the Pac 10. The latest report is out that the players have shown improvement. Would you say the sports program might be the reason for some of the distraction of those poor grades and how do you like the chance to see Cal at Emerald Bowl a game you will be attending.

As for the Emerald Bowl, I see Cal playing Florida State. Get your act together Bears, no one likes to see a team perform below their abilities. Oh Yeah Coach Tedford, work on getting a real starting QB and some real reserves. If you need an example look at USC.

The fact that the Bears are under achieving in the classroom makes it clear why they are under achieving on the field. Lack of guidance. It is ultimately the responsibility of the coaching staff (the entire coaching staff) to make sure that athletes are doing their jobs academically. Cal is first and foremost an institution of higher learning, and if the athletes don't step their game up I can guarantee you that there will be changes made by Cal Athletics Director, Sandi Barbour.

Question#2. The Stanford (4-0) Men's took another big win on Saturday night with a 76-62 victory over Colorado (3-3). The Cardinal at the half held a ten point lead over the Buffaloes 42-32 and Josh Owens lead Stanford with a career high of 21 points. At 4-0 the Cardinal are hitting all their marks and looked to be an improved club over last season.

New coach, new attitude. Let's wait until they begin conference play before we make the giant killers. Johnny Dawkins knows how to coach and he knows how to win. He is a product and Duke University, so he knows what it takes to be a scholar athlete and a winner on the court. I will give them a year to adjust, then watch out for the Cardinal.

Question#3. The Bears Men's team at (5-1) are looking up after a close victory at Florida State winning by three points 80-77. Jerome Randall had a team high 26 points, Patrick Christopher 17 points and Theo Robertson finished off with 16.

Cal has the offense, and the defense is forcing the turnovers. Is this Cal team prepared for the season?

The season is young. Cal's early success means that they are comfortable playing in the system, but until they play UCLA and other teams of that calibur and win or lose by single digets I can't get too excited.

Final Thoughts:

1) The BCS is horrible!!!! Someone is going to find a way to put USC into a bowl game other thant the Rose Bowl. They don't really have any significant wins this season, so how does that happen.

2) GIVE STEPHON MARRBURY HIS MONEY!!!!! I AM TIRED OF HEARING THIS STORY. AS FOR THE KNICKS, YOU DESERVE ALL THE HEADACHES YOU GET!!

3) Plaxico Burress, You shoot yourself in the leg and get arrested for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. I guess you should have gone with your first thought and gone to see Twilight.
