Cal: The Bears took another tough loss and there is talk that the Bears could wind up like last year and just dropping their last game of the season against Stanford. Is the mounting loses weighing on the team mentally or is it that Jeff Tedford's game plans are failing or are the other teams just doing a better job with watching film and the playbook prep against Cal?
THE GAME PLANS ARE FAILING!!!!! With the exception of USC, Cal has not played one team that they couldn't have beaten. Bad planning and poor execution of a bad game plan has killed the Bears. Look for Stanford to come in and play them tough, and possibly take home a win.
Cal hoops: The Bears won their first pre season game against Pacific College and critics have said the win was impressive and they found the Bears to be a breath of fresh air starting out this year. How much do you loan the nice start and good looks in camp to new head coach Mike Montgomery.
HOW IN THE WORLD IS A WIN AGAINST PACIFIC COLLEGE IMPRESSIVE!!!! Don't talk to about Cal winning money games against schools no one has ever heard of.
Stanford: The Cardinal took a tough loss against USC but talk is that the Cardinal are on their way to being a good club and the rebuild is working and head coach Jim Harbaugh is to be given credit for that. How much stock do you give Harbaugh in the improvement of this year's Cardinal and will they take the ax in the big game this weekend?
I give 95% of the credit to Harbaugh and 5% to the team. Those young men are playing with a newfound vigor because they have a coach who made them believe that they could win. Jim Harbaugh is the Tony Robbins of Pac-10 football as far as I'm concerned.
Final Thoughts:
1. Former New York Giants head coach Jim Fossel wrote a letter to Al Davis expressing his interest in coaching the Raiders. Jim how hard up are you for a job? Mr. T pities the fool who is the next Oakland Raiders head coach.
2. The University of Kentucky lost to the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) this past weekend. I guess Billy Gillespe doesn't think much of his job to win the little ones.
3. Last weekend ESPN's College Gameday showed up on the campus of Florida A&M University. This was the first time they've ever done Gameday from and HBCU (Historically Black College/University). ESPN it's about time you let the world know that HBCU football is alive, well, and halftime is a site to be seen.
