PHILADELPHIA--For the Monday Night game in Philadelphia the Dallas Cowboys 5-3 start this ball game just over .500 and want to make it in the NFL East post season with a decent run against first place New York who played San Francisco last Sunday.
Scott Fujita the Cowboys linebacker who finally picked up his first sack against the Arizona Cardinals Sunday October 29th when he creamed Cardinals quarterback Josh McCown, "Dallas hadn't seen that yet I thought I'd bring it down here just for the home team though." Fujita played four years with the Kanas City Chiefs before joining the Cowboys. Fujita's time is increasing on defense since team mate Al Singleton has been out with a right clavicle fracture on the injured reserved list.
Head coach Bill Parcells says, " he's a good veteran player I don't have a lot of experience with that position. He's a guy I was kind of relying on."
For this coming Monday Night against the Eagles Fujita says he's good to go, "I don't have any problems doing whatever they ask me to do I've played a lot of different types of positions over my career. I can play inside, outside, whatever they need me to do. I'll be ready to go."
Eagles in a house of pain: The Eagles who enter week #10 are looking to get another notch in the standings for Monday Night's game. The Eagles played last Sunday night against Washington without wide receiver Terrell Owens and will not be back for rest of the 2005 season.
The Eagles who faced Washington Sunday night and like this week against Dallas quarterback Donavon McNabb knows that the Cowboys will come a knocking, "when you're the top dog, teams are battling to knock you off the top." McNabb said, "a lot of teams are coming after us this season and giving us everything they've got."
Now with Owens out with the indefinite suspension second round draft pick Reggie Brown will step into Owens place like he did last Sunday against Washington.
For Owens he has now failed to play a full 16 game schedule since 2001 which so happened to be the last time he appeared on Sportstalk radio when he was a 49er.
Owens continued this streak last Sunday when he was suspended for that game. The Eagles are reportedly seeking an out of Owens contract. The Eagles are going to ask Owens his agent for a buy out as soon as possible so that Owens can declare himself a free agent and begin to look for another team.
J-Dogg's footnotes: With the Eagles trying to stay competitive in the NFC East my pick goes to the Cowboys who had a bye last Sunday and have very little in the way of the sideshows the Eagles have.
The game is in Philadelphia if McNabb isn't firing on all cylinders early count on Dallas to score at least twice unanswered.
The Eagles are at home and without a quick jump start and the distractions that beleaguered them the Cowboys get the hot diggity dog pick from the Dogg himself winning by 7 points.
