The Chicago White Sox thrilled all who came to see Game 2 of the World Series at U.S. Cellular Field with a comeback victory in the bottom of the ninth. The White Sox were down 4-2 in the bottom of the seventh, and Paul Konerko grand slam made the score 6-4 in favor the Sox.

The Astros tied the game in the top of the ninth with a pair of runs to make the score 6-6, when Jose Vizcaino hit a single which was good for a two rbi’s.

The White Sox came right back in the bottom of the ninth inning when Scott Podsednik belted a walk off solo shot to beat the Astros back 7-6 and putting the White Sox lead up 2-0 going to Houston for game three of the series.

The Astros and Sox while taking batting practice on Monday at Minute Field in Houston we're still amazed by the second game. Chicago manager Ozzie Guillen cautioned that looking back on Sunday's ball game is okay within the first 12 hours but its time to get back to the ball park and concentrate on what at hand and that's game three, "yes you have to put that game behind you, I was in the clubhouse and we were watching the highlights. You get pumped up and it makes you want to come back and play again."

Gullien said playing on the road and holding a two game lead you don't want to get too over confident. "in the meantime you've got to be careful because if you win one game that way then you've got to win the next two. In a short series you have to be careful no matter what you do today prepare yourself for tomorrow don't get too cocky don't get too high."

JC and Kenny G's footnotes: Chicago will be sending Jon Garland to the mound to start game 3 at Minute Maid Garland is a right hander (1-0 ERA 2.00) and the Astros will counter with right hander Roy Oswalt will make his fourth post season start (3-0 ERA 2.11).

Many believe that this ball game will be a low scoring affair we'll find out at 5:05PM PDT for game three.

Joe Cronin and Ken Gimblin cover the World Series and will co-host Sportstalk on 1430 KVVN San Jose and 1110 KLIB Sacramento.
