Sportsradio: Oregon State Beavers running back Jacquizz Rogers ran in four touchdowns on Saturday which helped cool off a hot streaking Stanford Cardinal team 38-28. Jacquizz ran for 33-189, averaging 5.7 yards, with the four scores. Was Jacquizz' run indicative of just a great offensive performance or was Stanford's defense just melted down by intimidation, bad coaching, and the Oregon State student crowd?

It was just a case of Stanford being outplayed. I don't think the were intimidated at all. Oregon State is a good team and Jaquizz Rogers is looking like he might be a new force in the Pac-10. Please! Please! Please! remember that this Stanford team is young. It seems because they have had some success that people expect the to be playing for the National Championship. Let them mature and grow at their own pace. They will rise to give all the Pac-10 powerhouses' a run for their money.

Sportsradio: Head coach Jim Harbaugh took on one of his toughest days at head coach this season. Defensively the Cardinal just couldn't hold Jacquizz and the Beaver's first half was dominating scoring 14 in the first quarter and 17 in second quarter. Although the defense held the Beavers to just a touchdown in the second quarter Harbaugh really wanted four quarters from his defense?

Didn't I just say that he has a young team and they are growing??? Of course he wanted four quarters. He got four quarters, they just weren't four good quarters.

Sportstalk: With the Bears off last Saturday it gave them time to regroup from the huge losses in their last two games. Going into UCLA on Saturday what changes do you see the Bears have to focus on to get back in the win column and avoid a third straight loss?

I told you at the beginning of the season not to put all your eggs in Cal's basket and you did it anyway. Now all you've got is scrambled eggs. They start hot and they they go ice cold. Cal will be lucky if they get to play in the Las Vegas Bowl.

Final Thoughts

1. People are saying that LaBron James got Braylon Edwards traded from the Cleveland Browns to the New York Jets because of altercation between Edwards and one James' friends. If this is the case Braylon Edwards needs to send LaBron James a really nice present. To be traded from the 0-4 Browns to the 3-1 Jets who look like the might win the AFC North and make the playoffs is a blessing for Edwards. And let us not forget James plays in the NBA and Edwards in the NFL. I just don't see such a scenario happening.

2. The 2016 Olympic Games will be held in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. Chicago came in fourth place in their bid to bring the Olympics back to the U.S. I know everyone is bummed, but let me be honest. Have you ever been in Chicago in August??? I would much rather be in Rio on a beach with a fruity drink in my hand wearing little to nothing, than riding the L train in a hot humid as heck Chicago eating a polish dog. Think about it.

3. Brett Favre and the Vikings beat the Green Bay Packers. Yeah, now can we stop talking about Favre as though he invented the game. As a player Brett Favre will go down as one of the greats, no doubt about it. But, to me he lost my respect with all of his petty vengeance and his million and one retirements. I know you were not ready to leave the Packers, but they had to make a business decision that was best for them not Favre. They knew that if Aaron Rogers did start getting game experience he was going to asked to be traded and then they would be left with an old QB and no decent back up.

Favre acted like he was Sissy Spacek in the movie "Carrie." He got invited to the prom by the most popular boy in school and then got pigs blood poured on him as he was crowned Prom Queen. We all know how that story ended. Now that he's made all the mean people pay for doubting him he still looks like a petty, vindictive, one day NFL Hall of Famer. Hey Brett, that really is not a such a good look on a player of your age and talents.
