Kiffin says his team can lick the Gators anyime: Lane Kiffin said that the Tennessee Vols were going to beat Florida in Florida and it didn't happen and sing rocky top all day and Florida didn't exactly run them out of town but a win is a win, is a win.The Gators are still the number one team in all of the land being the BCS system what it is.
Does Jimmy Leyland have to keep winning to keep job? Monster pressure that win Sunday for pitcher Nate Robertson who was working. In the first inning the first thought that I had was fear, panic, and loathing.
That basically he came up with five clutch innings and the bull pen slammed the door which was even a bigger key.
Considering what happened in Saturday's game. The Tigers bull pen is going to have to carry the team and the Tigers are now 2.5 up with 12 to play. So that leaves the Bengals with absolutely no breathing room and there are four more meetings with the Twins left to go and six more with the White Sox.
If the Tigers don't have any issues with losing streaks and after playing incredibly badly down the stretch, they'll be okay barely but the Tigers should be just fine in the Central.
All that work staying in first place can't go for not, not now no way.
Circumstantial evidence points to Jets tampering: You need to make sure that your doing everything above board and them you wouldn't have to worry about someone saying your tampering with their team's player it shouldn't be an issue. The Jets started to make moves at the 49ers Michael Crabtree and Deion Sanders on NFL Network talked about two teams who have contacted Crabtree and agent Eugene Parker it has to make you wonder.
The Niners still have his rights although Crabtree has threatened to go back to the draft and the Jets or any other team could have waited until March when Crabtree could be back in the draft, why the Jets couldn't wait is something that I couldn't understand.
Milton Bradley may not be back with Cubs next season: Good luck if the Cubs Milton Bradley keeps behaving the way he has he'll play his self out of this contract no doubt. It's one thing to have passion as a ball player and it's another thing to use that passion for all the wrong reasons.
Bradley's passion presents anger management issues lets be honest here, it's bottom line.
It's annoying to keep telling the story of him getting angry at everyone and everything. He hasn't played on a winner and he's drove teams down that have been winners. Look what he has done to the Cubs for crying out loud.
Martin wins his fifth at Chase opener: Right now Pablo Montoya is trying his best to make an impression in the Chase. It's amazing the fact that he's there to begin with. The second wave right now is that Mark Martin has become the story at the Chase. Martin is now number one in points.
This is the sixth season for the Chase and with Montoya he just doesn't want to be caught off guard and he wants to make an impression and he hasn't won on an oval yet. He's only won once in the three years in the series too.
He's doing his best to be a factor and he's making a statement and his performance Monday was a statement that he wants to move up and he's moved up seven spots now with his performance from 11th to 4th after finishing third on Sunday.
Martin he's learning a lesson he knows what to do and now Montoya is getting into the mix himself. It’s going to be interesting.
NBA officials are prepared to be locked out: NBA Officials have a right to make their money thats not is a concern but what is a concern right now is the officials are trying to make a statement with making more money and the fact that the league is trying to lock them out and the officials are trying to have their cards on the table too and it's back firing on them at the moment and the season is a month and half away. Tom's word of advice: Don't end up like the MLB Umpires who were fired when they went on strike and refused to come back to work daring MLB to fire them.
UFL could be in trouble without a bonfide TV contract: The United Football League who is starting up in October could lose a good chunk of their audience if they don't get a decent TV contract soon because Direct TV and Versus are still having a dispute as Direct TV has said they are going to drop Versus which is owned by Comcast.
The NHL depended on Versus for coverage and are searching for a TV network and the UFL was going to sign on with Versus but now since Direct TV dropped them there is no TV coverage.
This is about the coverage and air time issues that Comcast who owns Versus wants to charge.
