Cable denies belting assistant coach: More trouble in paradise known as the Raiders training facility in Napa where it was reported on Monday night that head coach Tom Cable slugged defensive assistant Randy Hanson in the jaw causing injuries and sending Hanson to the hospital on August 5th according to a Napa Police report.

When asking staff at the Queen of the Valley Hospital what happened it was disclosed that Hanson he was hit by a member of the Raiders coaching staff. When Police arrived to question Hanson he refused to name which member of the staff. Police basically said there is nothing further they can do in terms of pressing any charges if Hanson is not willing to talk.

Coach Cable said when asked about the fight, "It's an internal issue we are dealing with, that's all I'm going to say" pressed further Cable told the assembled press "I'm not going to comment on that."

Last season former head coach Lane Kiffin suspended Hanson who was later reinstated by Raiders owner Al Davis and Kiffin was fired after four games and replaced by Cable.

Prosecutors seeking higher court on Bonds evidence: After U.S. District Court Judge Susan Illston threw out evidence that government prosecutors felt was critical to their case against former Giant outfielder Barry Bonds U.S. Attorneys are back in court again seeking an appeal to have their evidence against the all-time home run king reinstated and available to use at trial.

Former BALCO vice president James Valente is a witness who prosecutors want to cross examine because Bonds trainer Greg Anderson will not talk. Valente has knowledge of Anderson telling him that tests from the BALCO labs on Bonds in 2000 and 2001 tested positive for steroids .

Illston ruled that since Anderson is not a Bonds employee he was not authorized to speak on Bonds behalf.

If the appeal is overturned the prosecution is also asking for admitting a Major League Baseball test taken by Bonds in 2003 which discloses that Bonds did test positive for steroids. The government prosecution is appealing with the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco. If the evidence at that point is admitted and prosecutors can demonstrate that the tests proved positive they then can show that Barry Bonds did commit perjury about steroid use.

Tiger sulks like a baby after losing to Yang: How about Y.E. Yang's chip in for an eagle on the 14th hole in Chaska Minnesota on Sunday that was tremendous, that was clutch, that was perfection, that was beautiful to witness.

When you looked at the ball sinking in the hole the expression and body language of Tiger Woods it was killing him, and in the post press conference he was saying, "oh I did this" "oh I did that" no credit to the guy, come on show a little more dignity than that.

To quote ESPN if I may "Tiger can have a bad day" and Tiger had a bad day. 14-14 in the majors. Yes Eldrick you lost suck it up, deal with it you arrogant little golfer. Tiger Woods did not lose with grace. There was a montage of shots he made at the majors earlier this year. He's throwing clubs at the British Open, he was cussing up a storm.

He was beating on his putter at the U.S. Open and I'm like "this is the world's number one?" This tops in the department of arrogance. In the 2010 Open Tiger will be there and at Pebble Beach boys and girls, he will most definitely be there, there is a real possibility that he will be there at next year's AT&T at Pebble Beach.

This is Tiger's first year without a major since 04 and yet it's the end of the world apparently for him. Did he lose his edge? Probably not. He'll probably win a major again in 2010. But have the attitude that "I did this wrong, I did that wrong" how about the fact that Yang made that eagle chip on 14? How about Yang nailing the put on 18?

Yang needed two putts to win. Forget the two putts he made the birdie he went out in perfect style. Tiger was just "I lost" "I lost" and it was all about, "me, me, me" yes you lost Eldrick but you were beaten deal with it.

Michael Vick will see time with McNabb: Vick will share time on the field quarterbacking with McNabb and look for Vick's famous keeper runs but then again it comes down to the reinstatement issue and that's not happening until week six but you got to like this combination and it's a very intriguing situation as it unfolds.

McNabb is trying to put on his best classy face but I got to detect a sense of sincerity in the guy. It shows and good thing and according to the 60 Minutes interview with Vick he sounded that way on the program. You got to think there is hope and that's a good thing. Vick will make the best of his second chance but don't allow him to own a dog.

The make up of McNabb and Vick seems like they have a connection there as McNabb has the veteran plays of a relaxed soul and does it very well. Vick now is in the lions den and McNabb is the guy with the chair and the whip to keep Vick at bay.

Kane has some explaining to do as court date comes up: The Chicago Blackhawks Patrick Kane has a court date set to appear for assault charges against a Buffalo cab driver he and his cousin assaulted when they were short changed $1.20 after paying a $15.00 cab fare.

This is not just not going to be done by waving a magic wand and it's not going to go away folks. Kane needs to deal with what people are saying about this case. If you have the power to put an end to it good luck. Don't go brushing everybody off just because you think the incident is over it's a criminal act you committed dude now it's about time to own up to it.
