Heatley going to San Jose: The San Jose Sharks are relying on chemistry in the room in the first place. Yes left winger Dany Heatley has scoring punch but has he had a chance to produce in the playoffs? Not really.
The Sharks had issues in the playoffs last season completely flaming out in the first round. Why do you think that was? You throw a guy like Dany Heatley into the mix and he's been wanting out of Ottawa wanting a trade, he had a situation with Atlanta that didn't work and now this and you have issues.
This team needs an offensive punch, they couldn't get the offense in post season when it counted especially after they did so well as he did in the regular year. Doing well in the regular year is one matter, doing well in post season is what matters.
At least now Wilson is trying to get the horses now to get them there but make it click the intangible part which means team chemistry getting along in the room. Making sure everybody is touching the puck at the proper time on their proper schedules because they can get retentive that way team game or not. He's at least doing his best to make it work and you have to admire him for taking a stand to do something let's just hope and pray because we know the history.
Hamlin snaps 50 race loss streak: Denny Hamlin needed the win at the Pocono Raceway at the Pennsylvania 500 and he lead much of the race where he has won twice before. He won both of his races in 2006 when he started from the pole as a rookie which is not bad which was his most solid performance from that year.
Right now with the win on Monday Hamlin wanted to stick with good finishes and they have six races to go. Hamlin has been strong and solid all year and led in Pocono and he has won there before twice and all the drivers in the top 12 and those that are outside just barely like David Reutimann and Kyle Busch which is a shock.
They were all looking for position and they were all looking to finish well and the ones towards the front like Hamlin and Jimmie Johnson can go for it and improve their position in points but getting the wins would be an added bonus.
Hamlin got the win snapping his 50 race loss streak and Jimmie Johnson would have got his fourth win of the year had he won which would have matched Mark Martin. Jim Gordon was going for his second win of the year third in points behind his team mate Johnson.
Which was all for naught for them.
About the raceway: Pocono Raceway is about the most unique raceway in all of NASCAR your racing literally on a triangular oval you have three different corners and three different variable for banking. One corner at 14 degrees, one corner at nine, one corner at six it's a very long straight away.
You do a short shoot in the tunnel turn to turn three the most difficult turn in all of NASCAR. It killed Tony Stewart's car for the second race in a row because they raced over there in June. So in June Stewart raced his primary car and wrecked and had to go to a back up.
This weekend he had a car and had to qualify because of weather had to go to the back of field on the account of a practice wreck.
If you are right up at pit road and everybody is running up at pit road and you get to be the driver in the good position that makes all the difference in the world that is a big time help as Tony found out when he won in June.
