The Zulewski report

Kenny Perry set a PGA tournament record with his 14th career win at the PGA Travelers Championship. Perry has not won a major and should have won a major but you really don't necessarily judge it on winning majors but you could judge it on the overall record to do what he's doing at his age at 48 its solid stuff.

Let it go for a couple more years when you get to the champion tour and see what goes on and see if it holds and I'm not sure. One thing I can say about Perry when he's done playing he does have 14 wins he's 48 now so there's a 8 year window, it's pretty good.

Giants up and coming: Isn't that something we know how the Giants handle losing not very well but they've been quietly impressive let's put it that way. They're not making much noise. Although I have a dear friend that questions the judgment of all the Bay Area teams their athletic prowess in the last decade.

The way it looks right now the Giants don't look too bad it's just that Giant pitcher Jonathan Sanchez hasn't not been impressive by any stretch of the imagination. Other than Matt Cain or Tim Lincecum and pray for rain and after all Randy Johnson is 45 years old and he's got over the 300 win milestone. Johnson is Johnson and is a enigma to himself and I can't see this team doing anything unless they pull off some kind of a trade by the trade deadline.

The way Pablo Sandoval is hitting he's a top tenner in the National League and hopefully won't go into any prolonged slump which might hurt but the way he's going right now I wouldn't be surprised if he can finish what he's doing he can only help the Giants on the offense. They need some offense because they're lacking run power but Sandoval does make up for it with his overall bat.

New Warrior Stephen Curry: Curry can do good things on offense but let's not misunderstand the Warriors need some bulk up front too and since Curry is not part of any package deal and he's not going any place and no trade rumors or otherwise the way it sticks out. Curry is going to be one small piece of a very large gaping hole type puzzle at Golden State.

The Warriors had that one lovely playoff year a season ago and got to the second round and put a scare to an awful lot of people but they regressed to their old ways after that post season and in 2008-09 they were a door mat again.

They were there some odd dozen years without playoff selves ways and Curry is only a small part of the puzzle for 2009-10 season in what the Warriors need.
