SAN FRANCISCO--The National wild card leader the San Francisco Giants kind of slipped a little bit in the last few nights after getting swept by the Los Angeles Angels. The team looks like they lost the art of hitting, they lost the art of moving the runner over.
The Giants ran into a little bit of buzz saw who was a last minute call up from Salt Lake City the Angels. They had Angel pitcher Sean O'Sullivan on the Tuesday night tilt and it looked like "where has been all this time" O'Sullivan basically shut the Giants down who worked seven innings gave up a run and then got sent back down to Salt Lake City. Why?The Angels kicked butt and won 8-1 on Tuesday night.
Personally I'm happy for Randy Johnson and the season that he's having. I have heard about his grumpiness and surliness and the size that he is I wouldn't mess with him too much. Of course pitcher Matt Cain is a beast, Tim Lincecum he looks like he should be in one of those hair bands, Lincecum is from Washington State so I think we can get away with saying it, but he's got the goods and he's showing it again this year with a 6-2 start.
Sammy Sosa sure not for the Hall: When will players complain or when will they complain? It's a disgusting state for the game and it's getting uglier and uglier and uglier buy the day festering to a sickness that's just really out of control. Whose next?
Sosa's being sixth on the All-Time home run list is for not. It is really completely all for not. Hall of Fame selection? In 1998 when he and McGwire brought the game back in the their chase to catch Roger Maris was something special to watch for the energy he brought but you look at this eleven years later and you wonder we all duped, we were all suckered into this and it was in a clubhouse culture.
Leaders of the stars did their thing and everybody else pretty much had to follow along and keep their pie hole shut. It was ludicrous.
Lakers all the way victory over Orlando: As soon as you forget to shoot free throws like Orlando did the whole tone was set in game three when the Magic had a golden chance to do something from the foul line.
They had all the free throws in the fourth quarter and what happened? They couldn't make eight of them? Lost in the overtime? Come on, your not a good team if can't do that especially at home in Amway Arena.
You don't argue, you don't miss with 59 wins. Phil Jackson has the most wins of any NBA coach but Red Auerbach looked better when he lit the cigar with his Montana zen ways.
