The Boston Celtics should be glad they just edged out the L.A.Lakers on Thursday night at the Garden to even the series at two a piece with a 96-89 victory. The Celtics Glen "Big Baby" Davis got credit for scoring half of his 18 points in the fourth quarter to help the Celts victory.

The Lakers were playing something fierce and tried all they can to avoid third loss and did so to even it up when the Lakers Kobe Bryant was held to 33 points and Pau Gasol had 21. The Celts could have been down 3-1 and there is no team in NBA Finals history to come back from such a deficit.

"We know what we can do, we know how to play, we know how to get it done, and we know how important game five will be, so we've got to get ourselves mentally and physically ready, to accomplish our mission." said Gasol

The Celtics Paul Pierce had 19 points, Kevin Garnett 13, Ray Allen had 12 this is one of the best performances seen by the Celtics and it was not done by the original big three from the Finals in 2008 but a newer improved Celtic crew.

Celtics head coach Doc Rivers was happy with the results, "I don't think guys really care and that's why we’re here, it really is, (Rajon) Rondo and the rest of them, they were begging me to keep guys in, 'don't take them out! don't take them out!' it was great. That's the loudest I've seen our bench and it was the starters cheering from our bench." said Rivers.

But it was the "Big Baby" who helped lead the Celtics to victory with nine crucial points in the fourth quarter to keep the Celtics in the game, "All I'm thinking is, "let's win", I'm not thinking about anything else. I'm not even thinking about Kobe making all these shots, worried about this or worried about that. I'm just worried about winning, whatever it takes to win, and just making sure, I'm just worried about winning, and I'm just making sure that I give my teammates positive energy to finish out the game." said Davis

The Celtics host again for game number five out of TD Garden House on Sunday night at 5:00PM PDT
