Suns looking at the broom; Heat-Pistons Sunday

The San Antonio Spurs are no strangers to the
playoffs. They've been there plenty of times before
and if it wasn't for Derek Fisher, whose miracle shot
in 0.4 seconds last year, the Spurs very well may have
made it to the finals rather than the Lakers.
Phoenix is the rookie team in the playoffs. The Suns
didn't make the playoffs last year, and now here they
are with the best record in the league, looking to
make it to the finals for the first time in 12 years,
since they played against the Chicago Bulls back when
Charles Barkley was a Sun.
Miami-Detroit: The big question going into this series
was will Shaq play? He played the first two games and
was pretty effective. Now we need to see how Shaq is
going to hold up over the course of an entire series.
Its one thing to have him sit out against a team like
the Washington Wizards, as Miami clearly had an
advantage. When you're talking about the Detroit
Pistons, that's a whole other story. The Pistons are
the defending champs and proved that in the opening
game of the series on Monday with a nine-point win in
Miami.
The Pistons play spectacular defense and they have a
good enough offense that you can't take them lightly.
They're not in the Phoenix Suns' area of expertise,
but Detroit is good as they come as an overall
basketball team.
Despite that, the Miami Heat's victory on Wednesday
night evened up the series at 1-1 as they beat Detroit
92-86 in Game 2.
I think Detroit has a bit of advantage because as good
as Shaq is, he's not 100 percent and Detroit knows how
to beat Shaq because they did it last year in the
playoffs.
I think Detroit is as good as any team in the playoffs
and I wouldn't be shocked to see Detroit take this
series, but I think it'll go six or seven games before
it's done.
