SACRAMENTO--The San Antonio Spurs see the red lights of the Sacramento Kings like a team possessed. The Kings after loosing the first two games of this best of seven series beat the Spurs convincingly in Game 4, to tie the series up 2-2 with a 102-84 win tonight at the Arco Arena in Sacramento.
The Kings Bonzi Wells had 25 points and 17 rebound to lead Sacramento, while his other teammates, Brad Miller had 19 points, Mike Bibby 16 points, and Ron Artest and Kevin
Martin both had 14 points each in the Game 4 victory.
The Kings, ever since Artest was suspended in Game 2 on Tuesday have been fired up. Last Tuesday they narrowly lost in San Antonio in overtime. In Game 3 on Friday night the Kings just got by at the buzzer thanks to Kevin Martin's twisting over the back shot on top of the Spurs Tim Duncan for the game winning bucket at the buzzer.
The Spurs top scorers were Tony Parker with 22 and Duncan with 17 all the rest of the Spurs finished in single digits.
JC and Kenny G's footnotes: The Kings travel to San Antonio Tuesday night for Game five. If the Kings can win Game 5, they'll take a 3-2 lead back to Sacramento for game six on Friday night May 5th.
Game 5 is huge for both teams now that they're both tied. If the Kings can win it in Game 5 then they come back to Sacramento for Game six and the home court advantage on Friday night. If the Spurs win Game 5 the Kings will be in a tough position to go back to Sacramento Friday night win and then try to win Game 7 on Sunday May 7th in San Antonio. Either way this playoff series has turned out to be a nail biter and a series no one really expected. The Kings have a pulse.
