1. Last night the University of Kansas beat the University of Memphis in overtime. Did the shot at the buzzer by Mario Chalmers that took the game into overtime give Kansas a chance to win, or Memphis a chance to loose?
As I have said all season, Memphis is a team of great athletes who can't shoot freethrows. Chris Douglas-Roberts miss two important freethrows ialmost at the end of the second half. Memphis led for most of the game, but Kansas knew that if they put Memphis on the charity stripe that there was a good chance that they would struggle.
Once the game got into overtime, it was all Kansas. You cannot take a team like Kansas into overtime. They will always find a way to beat you.
2. Stanford has one more shot at winning it all on Tuesday night they face Tennessee. Senior All-American, Candace Wiggins has to be by far Stanford's go to woman on the team for the year and how much was her impact in getting the team this far?
Candace Wiggins is a got to person, but what is making Stanford successful is a total team effort. There are no stars on this squad, just a lot of hardworking young women. Most people outside the westcoast had no idea who Wiggins was until the tournament.
Look for Jane Appell to make a her presence known in the paint. This will be a great match up seeing that Stanford beat Tennessee at Maples Pavillion in December when the Lady Vols were number one in the country.
3. Michelle this your last NCAA question of the year. If you had to point to any special moment in the NCAA this year what moment would that be?
For me the special moment came when a Davidson team led by Stephon Curry beat a highly ranked Georgetown, and almost beat Kansas. That is the kind of thing I look for in a special moment. When the underdog shocks the world.
