Earthquakes sign new Director of Broadcasting and Communications

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced on Monday March 17th, that they have hired Jed Metteee as the Director of Broadcasting and Communications.

Jed is returning to the quakes after spending 5 seasons with the quakes in 2001-2005. He will be overseeing broadcasting, community relations, and media relations for the quakes.

In his previous time with the quakes he served as the director of media relations and public relations. He also managed the website publications for the team. Of note: He succeeded in negotiating radio contracts in Spanish and English in 2005. This was a team history first.

Recently, Jed has been working for the Santa Clara University Broncos in media relations.

Previously to 2001, he worked for New England Revolution for a short time and also worked internationally with an affiliate club to the Atletico Madrid Spanish league team.
