Sportstalk: The Cal Bears 21-9 (13-5) sewed up the Pac Ten on Saturday with a win over the Stanford Cardinal 13-17 (7-11) 71-61 to get the Pac 10 division title wrapped up for the first time in 50 years. Head coach Mike Montgomery said it was hard work and perseverance that got them this far. Michelle talking about the year Cal had what would you tribute to Cal's strongest points at getting here?

You have to first attribute Cal's success to good recruiting. For the past ten years the Pac-10 has been ruled by UCLA and Arizona. Mike Montgomery had to go out and get the Bears some good all around players. Then, Montgomery had to get them to play together. I like this team because their are no real superstars. The last superstar Men's Basketball player for the Bears was Leon Powe. This is a great time for Cal. I hope that his is something they will build upon for the future. Winning the Pac-10 regular season is a good beginning. It's my hope that they can turn that into a late round exit from the tournament.

Sportstalk: Stanford Women took out the Cal Bears on Saturday to give the Cardinal 28-1 (18-0) record with a 63-48 win. The Cardinal went perfect in the Pac Ten and had help from Kayla Pedersen and Nmemkadi Ogwunmike who each scored 23 and 22 respectively on Saturday.

For the Cardinal as the number two team how do you like their chances in March Madness?

I truly believe that there will be a UConn - Stanford final, but as far as I can see the Huskies will win in the finals. I want to be wrong so badly, but UConn are making history, and they really want to eclipse the 2002 UConn Women's Basketball team that had Bird and Tarossi at the helm. It's still a game I will be watching. I want to see Tara Vanderveer win another championship. I believe in the world of Women's College basketball she get lost in the Gino and Pat wars.

Sportstalk: Number four Duke 26-5 (13-3) did some surprising with a 82-50 win over North Carolina 16-15 (5-11) in Durham. The win for Duke was their first win at North Carolina since 2005.Duke's Kyle Singler scored 19-25 in the first half and Duke's Jay Scheyer scored 20 points contributing to Duke's lopsided win over the Tar Heels. Michelle for Duke going into post season this has to be a huge momentum builder?

I never thought I would ever say this, but Duke and North Carolina are not relevant to college basketball this year. UNC will possibly make the NIT and Duke will probably be a fifth or sixth seed in the NCAA Tourney. These two teams only matter to people on Tobacco Road. It's not any type of momentum builder. Coach K. is the momentum builder at Duke.

Final Thoughts

1. Baylor University Women's Basketball player Brittney Griner has been suspended for two games for hitting Texas Tech's Jordan Bramcastle. I am not saying that Griner was right in what she what she did, but look at the film, to she was provoked. No just hit's someone for no reason. I've been watching Griner this year. She's a 6'8 women's player who can dunk. Everyone wants to make sure she doesn't dunk on them. I've some of my male counterparts say that she has too much BRAVADO! She has done nothing that is not done daily in the men's game. Why can't a women who can dunk have BRAVADO????? Hey guys! Watch out, your double standards are showing.

2. It's free agent time in the NFL, and It's biggest fish (Julius Peppers) is now playing for the Chicago Bears. I knew Peppers would leave Charlotte, but I think one of the best moves made is Anquan Bolden to the Baltimore Ravens. Joe Flaco must be on his knees thanking GOD for the gift he was given. A real wide receiver of his very own.

3. Ben Rothlisburger has been accused of sexual assault once again. I like Big Ben, and I only have two words. SMOKE AND FIRE.
