1. The Stanford Cardinal 5-11 (16-11) were down at half time to USC 7-9 (16-12) 33-29 and then the big turnaround in the second half. Anthony Goods delivered the goods with 20 points which helped pace Stanford to make up the ten points that the Cardinal fell behind on. Goods, a senior, played his last game at Maples how do you like his chances of performing in the NBA.

Goods will be a roll player in the NBA much like Brevin Knight. He will most likely come off the bench and be a great addition to a team looking for a young player who knows what to do when his number is called.

2. Taj Gibson of the Trojans had 19 points which impressed Stanford coach Johnny Dawkins. Gibson is a freshman. USC has some future stars on their roster as the school has had a bad week losing to Cal and now Stanford so they want to shore up their roster.

In this age of one and done it very difficult to shore up a roster, and I don't think Tim Floyd will be at USC for long. During his tenure the only legit player he has had was O.J. Mayo who would have never played at USC if it weren't for the pesky rule about one year of college.

#3. Look for Cal's Women 23-3 (14-1) to make some noise in March Madness. Michelle what do you look for in Cal heading into March Madness and how much damage can they do?

I look the Cal Women to stay consistent and injury free. They cannot afford to loose any players. They also must see the larger picture which is the NCAA Tournament. They have to play well and at least make it to the finals, if not win the Pac-10 Tournament to get a decent seeding. At this time of the year, that's all that matters.

Final Thoughts:

1. Jim Calhoun is the highest paid employee in the state of Connecticut. Maybe he attempt to have some humility and act like you care that there are other people who work for the state that are being forced to take manditory furloughs and/or loosing their jobs.

2. Tiger's Back!!!! Ok now that we have that out of the way, let the Bromance begin.

3. Michael Vick is out of jail and on house arrest. He also looking for work. Now, you can be all mad that he killed Skippy the family dog, or get over it and realize that this guy has a right to pursue employment. He has served his time, so let him get on with his life. Don't get me wrong, I am an animal lover, but I was always told that once a person pays his/her debt to society that they get a chance to rebuild their lives and learn from their mistakes. I believe it's called forgiveness.
