SACRAMENTO - Will the Sacramento Kings trade somebody before the trading deadline? The rest of the league wants Peja Stojakovic, but are they going to unload Chris Webber? That's what the real wait here is all about.

The Kings are trying to see if they can get rid of Webber, who is hurt. He's damaged goods and it doesn't look like another club will go along with the idea. To top it off, Webber and Peja are not getting along on the court.

When that happens in the NBA, one or the other has to go. People in Sacramento don't want to get rid of Stojakovic. Peja's beautiful long arching shots are worth going to a game for.

Webber is a real blue-collar worker underneath the basket that takes advantage of every break. He's a quality player, but most people think his bad knees aren't going to get better. It's a matter of how much teams are able to use him.

Most people in the Kings' corner were terribly surprised to see them get rid of Doug Christie. Christie is a great defender and you could see what it's done to the team. The Kings don't play anywhere near as good defense as when Christie was with the club. Christie was worth his weight in gold - nobody would argue that.

Cuttino Mobley is a worthy 3-point shot artist, but can you teach a great offensive player to play defense? The Kings are going to have to do that or they're going to be in a world of hurt. The Kings have not been playing real good offense for about three weeks - ever since the trade of Christie.

Look for the Kings to make another trade to bolster its sagging fortunes.
