LeBron James wants to let everyone know that wants to “The Next Great One,” in the NBA.
By winning second All-Star Game Most Valuable Player award in three years, the Cleveland Cavaliers guard is slowly but surely put his name in the upper echelon of great players in the NBA.
James scored 27, as the Eastern Conference All-Stars defeated the Western Conference All-Stars 134-128 at New Orleans Arena.
Boston Celtics guard Ray Allen scored 28 points, which included three 3-pointers in the final 3:15 in helping the Eastern Conference win the 57th Annual extravaganza.
Dwight Howard, who won the Sprite Slam Dunk Slam Dunk on Saturday night led the Eastern Conference by grabbing nine rebounds.
Jason Kidd, who maybe traded to the Dallas Mavericks dished off a team high 10 assists, as the Eastern Conference All-Stars won for the third time in the last four years.
James also dished off nine assists and grabbed eight rebounds.
Three different players led the Western Conference with 18 points.
Amare Stoudemire, Brandon Roy and Carmelo Anthony helped the Western Conference come back from a 13-point deficit when the fourth quarter began.
Chris Paul of the hometown New Orleans Hornets dished off seven assists in the fourth quarter, as the West took a 122-119 lead; however Allen came up huge in the end to give the Eastern Conference a thrilling victory.
Next years’ All-Star Game will be held at USAIRWAYS Center in Phoenix, the home of the Phoenix Suns.
