Sportstalk: Stanford head coach Johnny Dawkins has been doing some soul searching here after Stanford which has now dropped four of it's last five games. This time to the Huskies on Sunday in a game where the offense got skunked again 75-68. You try and look at some of the guys on the roster that you expect to lift up the Cardinal but it just hasn't happened in a couple weeks.

This is a young team. You cannot expect them give you a miracle. They are doing the best they can, but they are still learning. Be more harsh on them next year.

Sportstalk: Cal heads to the Farm and gets ready to face the Cardinal after two wins in a row at home and both of them over the Huskies and the Cougars at home. Stanford has been in the doldrums and it looks like it could be a game that Cal might make it look interesting seeing that Stanford is having some down time.

Anytime Cal and Stanford come together to compete in any sport both teams will give their all. It doesn't matter what happened before, all that matters is that game on that day. Expect a street fight.

Sportstalk: The story on the Cal Woman 19-2 (10-0) has been phenomenal with 11 straight wins Ashley Walker 20.7 ppg, Alexis Gray-Lawson 12.9 ppg and also Gray-Lawson scored 37 points of Cal's total of 57 against Stanford on Sun Jan 18th which snapped a 14 game losing streak against Stanford. Cal looks like they've got the players to make some things happen by March.

The leadership is in place, the desire is in their hearts, and they have the talent, and they are playing like a team. Cal's Women's Basketball team is tired of being the doormat of the Pac-10. This is their time and I believe they will get better as we get closer to March.
