1.Duke just keeps jumping out of the gym at #2 and are perfect in the
conference at 8-0. They upended Boston College 83-81. JJ Redick scored 28
points, Sheldon Williams had 21 points and six rebounds. On the
Michelle-rank-a-team-O-Meter where does Duke stand?
Duke is doing well, but we are at least two to three weeks before March Madness
begins. UConn is still very strong, and teams like Memphis are going under the
radar. I also remember a Delaware State team almost stealing a victory away
from the Blue Devils last year. The regular season means nothing if you lose
in the first or second round of the tournament to a team you looked past on
your way to the championship.
2.UCLA (9-2) is in Tempe to face Arizona State. The Bruins are ranked #14 and
hold a one game lead over Cal and Stanford in the conference while shooting
41.5%. Do you think the Bruins can stand the test of the season?
The Bruins look good, but I need to see them play some SEC-type talent. The
problem with the Pac-10 is that they get too focused on who they beat in the
Pac-10 and not how they match up against the best teams in the country.
3.The Bears rank second in the PAC 10 at 14-6 (8-3) and have won five of their
last six games. Will the Bears give the PAC 10 a good ride for the battle for
first?
If Cal continues winning I think they will have a chance at the dance, but will
realistically end up in the NIT.
