		Radio Row and Media Center follies By Scary Barry Rodriguez February 3, 2011

	( DALLAS )- As the day of Super Bowl XLV draws ever closer the goingsg on at the Media center and Radio grow increasingly chaotic. More celebrites , more interviews and people arriving from all places around the globe. The Scary one was beat from getting up at 5:00 am again and covering two practices. Returning to the Media center meant sitting down and have a cold soft drink. Superbowl wayne and his camerman recruits from TCU prowled the isles for B roll film and interviews. Eventually I had get up off my gluteus maximus . There was a big press conference scheduled for 2:00 pm in an upstairs ballroom. It was the Bridgestone press conference for the halftime entertainment by the pop group the Black Eyed Peas. Of course that meant that the Black Eyed Peas would be there in person. The Scary one along with most of the media present made the scene. There were enough cameras at the back of the room to shoot a President's news conference. A big shot from the Bridgestone corporation, the main sponsor made the usual obligatory remarks and then Brian the Mc open the floor for questions to the members of the Black Eyed Peas. Folks would raise their hands, be picked and then a wireless mike would be provided for them to ask questions. Being shy and humble , Scary Barry just had to ask Fergie a question. My hand went up several times before I was picked. In front of God and a national television audience I address my questions to Fergie. First I asked her what was her favorite song when she " got that feeling ". Fergie , a completely media savy pro reply with a sexy innuedno about just what did I mean. Staying within family entertainment boundaries the Scary one did not continue down this path for the good of all decent citizens ! We had some back and fourth banter , getting lots of laughs. Next I asked Fergie how she feel about the Super Bowl being played in Hawaii. I really don't remember her reply because I was still a little nervous. Brian the MC had played along with the whole thing by making facial expressions and rolling his eyes. What a blast ! Superbowlwayne dug my performance and the fact that I identified myself as a representative of Hawaii Five- O media. Afterwards Superbowl praised me and I felt good. Ricardo, a talk show host on a Mexican televison station reaquainted himself with me. Ricardo is a good guy I met last year at the Pro Bowl in Miami, Florida. He was impressed with the macho performance of my unadulterated charima ! Many people during the day made comments to me. A star was born ! I walked around the Media center feeling stoked. Superbowlwayne had been in a lounge area watching my performance and said many people were laughing. Thats a good thing ! They weren't text messaging or sleeping. The 2011 Miss America Teresa Scanlan was doing interview after interview in the Media center. Eventully Superbowlwayne nabbed her for an interview too ! I had a chance to talk with her and get a picture taken with her. To the 61 year old Scary the 17 year old Teresa seemed to be really young. She is a very nice young lady in every way. Scary Barry just couldn't get that Hugh Hefner vibe going ! I felt like her grand papa ! Scary Barry is sexy with adults not kids. Miss Scanan's busy schedule would kill anyone over thirty. She remained poised , crown on her head and grateful for the opportunity to promote many events. It had been a long day for our intrepid camera crew from TCU, Brice, Christopher and Beau. They aquited themselves well. At times they thought the Scaryone was off the hook. This is my gig. I don't want people to have to resort to text messaging or sleep when I go wild. The players who are young get off on my long unruly hair and informal manner. They are still too young to be fake. Anyway the day passed in a blurr . There were too many things to faithfully remember. Superbowlwayne AKA Mr. Emotional lost track of his backpack and I finally got back my lost piece of luggage from My United Airline's flight .
