Michelle F. Touson answers Lee’s questions about NCAA basketball and reminds us all that brevity is the soul of wit.

1. Duke is #2 and beat Virgina Tech Thursday night 80-67. J.T. Redick had 24 points and Sheldon Williams had 24 points. Is Duke for real?

Duke is as real as they are every year. The problem is that it doesn't translate to the pros.

2. Cal shocked the Washington Huskies 71-69. Leon Powe contributed with a hot hand for 18 points. This had to be a big win for Cal?

Anytime Cal wins in basketball it's a big win. Since Jason Kidd left any win by Cal is a miracle. Message to Ben Braun: tick-tock, the bell tolls for you.

3. Number three Memphis upended UAB Thursday night 73-66. Darius Washington led the way with 26 points and Rodney Carney picked up 19 points for #3 Tigers. Is Memphis a force to be reckoned with?

Yes, Memphis is a force, John Calipari has the best talent money can buy. Just ask UMass.
