SACRAMENTO - The Sacramento Kings, fresh off a challenging road trip, came home Tuesday night to host Seattle at ARCO Arena. While they were away, the Kings lost to San Antonio by 10, but turned things around by beating Houston Friday night 117-111 in overtime and followed up with a 94-84 win at slumping Minnesota.

The thing that was so great about the game in Houston was that it made Sacramento get tough while playing short-handed. Peja Stojakovic was out and losing those 20 points per game means somebody else had to score. Chris Webber had 30, including the game-tying 3-pointer to force overtime, and Cuttino Mobley added 24 in his Houston homecoming.

In the overtime, the Kings came down the floor and they made their shots. Houston came down the floor, didn't make their shots, and the Kings got the rebounds. That's really why the Kings won that important road game.

Tracy McGrady scored 30 points for the Rockets, but he didn't do a good job defending Webber. The big difference in professional basketball is not how many points you make, it's about how many points the guy you're trying to defend makes.

You're going to see the Kings get a good effort from everybody, and that's going to help the defense. You will see a better, more mature Kings team near the end of the year.
